Gazette Coloring Contest: Celebrating the Spirit of Independence

In the heart of summer, as we approach the momentous occasion of Independence Day, the Daily Gazette invites young artists to embark on a creative journey that captures the essence of this cherished holiday. We present the annual Gazette Coloring Contest, an opportunity for children to express their artistic flair and celebrate the spirit of American patriotism.

Eligibility and Entry Guidelines

This contest is open to children ages 12 and under, residing in the Capital Region. Participation is free and accessible to all aspiring artists. To enter, simply download the official coloring page from our website (dailygazette.com/coloringcontest) and unleash your imagination.

Coloring Page Design

Our specially designed coloring page features an array of patriotic motifs, including the iconic American flag, fireworks exploding in vibrant hues, and historical landmarks symbolizing the birth of our nation. With ample space for artistic expression, children can color and decorate the page to their heart's content.

Prizes and Recognition

Grand Prize: The grand prize winner will receive a coveted recognition: their artwork will be featured on the front page of the Daily Gazette on Independence Day, July 4th, 2023. This prestigious honor will showcase the talent and creativity of the young artist to the entire community.

First, Second, and Third Place: Top prizes will be awarded to three talented artists who demonstrate exceptional artistry. These winners will receive gift certificates to local art supply stores, encouraging their continued passion for artistic expression.

All Participants: Every child who submits a completed coloring page will be recognized for their participation and receive a certificate of appreciation. This gesture of encouragement aims to foster a love of art and creativity in all young minds.
